James Emmett Brantley, Jr.
Apr 20, 2018Heavenly Father Jan. 1, 2018, in New Braunfels, Texas. Jim was born on July 12, 1946, in Galveston, Texas, to James E. Brantley, Sr., and Samantha Cassianna Cox Brantley.Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph L. Brantley. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Brantley; daughter Stacey, her husband Bradley Brown of Canyon Lake, Texas, and their children Cullen, Landry and Ethan; son Chad, his wife Susan Brantley of San Antonio, Texas, and their children Shane, Nathaniel, Elijah, and Jeremiah; and son Brian and his wife April Brantley of New Braunfels and their children Abigail and Bennett.Jim entered the U.S. Air Force after graduating from Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas. For three years he faithfully served his country in Vietnam before returning to Miami, Florida, where he was eager to marry his future wife. A 47-year marriage that was to be celebrated this Feb. 14.Soon thereafter, Jim returned home to his cherished state of Texas where he attended Southwest Texas State University (Texas State). He began his career in sales and quickly became regional sales manager for Thermon Manufacturing.After his success in sales and living in Pennsylvania, he brought his family back to Texas to found his own company, T.A.D. and Associates that the family continues to operate. With the time he was involved in the heat tracing industry, he became a well known and respected member in the sales and supply community.Uncle Jimmy, as his family called him, loved his pets, and loved to fish, cook, and spend time in God's word and with his family. He especially enjoyed his time spent in the beautiful Big Bend of the Texas west.Funeral Services were held on Monday Jan. 8, 2018, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in Canyon Lake (Sattler). A burial followed at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels. (Alpine Avalanche)
